SimpleSmartech – When your Kali Linux doesn’t shut down for days then you will see this error: “E: Release File For http://http.kali.org… is not valid yet. Update for this repo will not be applied”
Why this is happening?
According to Me, I have to face this problem in the virtual machine the reason is that I haven’t fully shut down my virtual machine for days, and due to this time updating is stopped.
So, you solve it but two methods one of them is simply that you restart your Linux. And then you will see that your problem is solved. And another one is by using the terminal.
Using the Terminal :
Open your terminal. You may be required to be “Sudo” permission.
You have already “Sudo” permission then you don’t have to do it. If you don’t have “Sudo” permission then use sudo before every command (easiest way).
- For setting date: sudo date -s “currentDate Hour:Minute”
(My format is : sudo date -s “month/day/year Hour:Minutes”)
- Then reconfigure system with date : sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
Hope Your Problem is Solved 🙂
